The Washington Post's Chief Revenue Officer Abruptly Leaves the Company

A spokeswoman wouldn't give a reason for Jed Hartman's departure

After almost four years in the job, Washington Post chief revenue officer Jed Hartman is no longer with the company, company executives informed staffers on Thursday. Kate Davey, vice president of revenue strategy, will serve as interim CRO.

“We don’t comment on personnel matters,” spokeswoman Kristine Coratti Kelly said. The unexpected news was first reported by The Washington Post’s own media reporter, Paul Farhi.

Hartman did not respond to requests for comment.

Hartman had been in the position, which included leading print and digital advertising as well as advertising for targeted products, since December 2014.
