A new social network called “The Dots” launched today in the U.K. with over 13,000 brand partners, reports The Drum. The site is a “LinkedIn for creatives” and is helmed Pip Jamieson, who co-founded a similar site in Australia.
The site’s launch partners include Conde Nast, Saatchi & Saatchi, Spotify, Facebook and Vice. Jamieson, whose previous foray into social entrepreneurship was successful in Australia, wanted to expand the idea on a global scale. The platform hosts profiles and portfolios for professionals in creative industries like design, advertising and publishing.
While it is only available in the U.K. for now, Jamieson plans to expand internationally “in the near future.”
