Tactile Entertainment's Bee Brilliant Buzzes onto iOS

Skyline Skaters developer Tactile Entertainment has announced the launch of Bee Brilliant on iOS devices. The casual, free-to-play game sees users completing level-based match-three missions as they make matches with Babees (baby bees) to remove them from the screen. Each level has a different objective and board layout, and there are more than 100 levels available at launch. In each level of Bee Brilliant, users tap and drag their finger on top of matching Babees to create a line of three or more matching symbols. The hexagonal grid allows for diagonal and vertical matches, and users are encouraged to create the longest lines possible on each move to earn more points and trigger the formation of special Booster Bees. These Booster Bees may clear whole lines of Babees from the screen when activated, or can add extra moves to a level, among other bonuses. Some bees can be created for free by making large matches while playing, or they can be purchased with real money before or during a stage. When playing, users may sometimes have the option of watching a video ad before starting a level to receive a free Booster Bee to help them out. Each level is move limited, and comes with its own requirement, from earning a large number of points, to unfreezing frozen bees, to clearing honey from the screen. Honey rests underneath Babees, and must be cleared by making a match on top of each honey-covered cell. Meanwhile, frozen bees are cleared by making multiple matches with the frozen bee, which slowly chips away at the ice. Players earn up to three stars on each level, depending on their final score. Once players complete a level’s requirement(s), any leftover moves are used to boost the player’s final score and push them closer to three stars. Users can replay levels to earn missed stars or increase their high scores, while Facebook Connect allows users to compare their scores with their friends’ on level-specific leaderboards. If players fail to complete a level before running out of moves, they lose a life. These recharge automatically over time, or can be sent as free gifts among Facebook friends. Users can also watch video ads to earn free lives. Bee Brilliant is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
