Games developer and publisher Square Enix has released its newest app on iOS: Final Fantasy XIV: Libra Eorzea. The free application serves as the official companion app for Square’s Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PC and PS3.

Libra Eorzea offers an encyclopedia of in-game information, including all items, quests, non-playable characters and achievements. The database will be updated over time as the actual Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn game is updated, and the app’s encyclopedia is available for viewing even when devices aren’t connected to the internet.

App users can login with their Realm Reborn accounts to pull in information about their current character, like gear and player attributes. They can also browse through the profile information of other characters, including those in their Free Company or Linkshell. A search function will allow users to search for the exact player they may be looking for.

The encyclopedia and online portions of the app merge together when browsing other players’ profiles, as users can learn where other players acquired their current gear, using the information within the database.

Final Fantasy XIV: Libra Eorzea is now available to download for free on iPhone and iPad. An Android version of the app is currently in development.
