Sprint Upgrades Picture Messaging

Sprint has upgraded its picture mail service today to let subscribers send photos and videos directly from their cell phones, not just to other users but to social networking and related sites including MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube, according to MediaPost.

The report said that subscribers can now upload and publish content to their social networking profile pages as per a partnership between Sprint and VeriSign, via the latter’s Xoomerang platform. The enhanced picture messaging service works on over 30 Sprint handsets, including the LG Rumor and Samsung Rant (pictured).
