Snapchat quietly tweaked the way it displays older photos that are shared from its Memories feature.
Fitz Tepper of TechCrunch reported that the white border that previously appeared around shared photos that were more than 24 hours old is no longer being used by the messaging application.
Tepper also shared the tweet embedded below from The Hill senior editor and director of emerging platforms Taylor Lorenz.
Snapchat got rid of the big white border around Memories. Much harder to tell what's old content uploaded vs new pic.twitter.com/SEQgY2y1Ht

According to Tepper, Snapchat implemented this tweak because users objected to the white border altering their images, but images uploaded from users’ camera rolls will still feature the white border.
Snapchat had not yet responded to a request for comment at the time of this post.
