Royal Hairstylist Clipped After Taking Social Media Promotions Too Far

A stylist is now deprived of the chance to work with the lovely Duchess' hair because of too many status updates.

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has beautiful shiny hair from the gods. So James Pryce must be a sad sack right about now. Word has it Pryce, the man behind the tresses that wowed the world on her wedding day and her North American trip, has been axed.

The reason? He wallpapered his social media pages with pictures of the Duchess. And the Palace was not happy.

It’s clear that a lot of people knew Pryce was working with the Duchess. And she’s one of the most photographed women in the world, so if anyone wanted to see his work it’s not hard to find. The fact that this stylist felt like he needed to promote it further is a little crazy.

As any PR can tell you, you don’t go blabbing about your big client without permission, no matter how much you’re itching to. So the next time you feel the need to pull a Pryce, remember these things:

-If you blab your mouth then lose the client, it’s bad for your professional reputation.

-Your bottom line likes that client too. Better to have the client than the momentary pleasure of bragging.

-Eventually, after you’ve worked with that client long enough, they’ll probably let you tell people. Just hold your tongue for now.

-You enjoy doing the work so much, you don’t want to risk the job. Imagine having the chance to hang out with Kate, Wills, and little Prince George and having that all taken away over something as silly as overzealous tweets.
