Roll Call: EVINS Gets Hired, Text100 and JConnelly Makes Big Hires

Rapid-fire good news in PR .

EVINS Communications has signed Bache-Gabrielsen, one of the world’s oldest and best-selling cognac houses, as its U.S. PR agency of record. EVINS will manage all external communications efforts and strategic programming for the France-based company.

Text100 signed a big player of its own, but this was a new hire who used to be the former CEO of Emanate, Kim Sample. As general manager of Text100’s N.Y. location, Kim will oversee 55 staff members, guide business development in the market, support staff growth and retention, and serve as a strategic consultant for Text100’s clients.

JConnelly went out and lured in a big fish of its own, hiring 25-year media veteran Ray Hennessey, the former editorial director of EntrepreneurAt JConnelly, Hennessey will serve in the newly created role of chief innovation officer. Mr. Hennessy is charged with developing cutting-edge technology platforms and content systems both for the agency and its clients.
