Remembering Barry Hannah in eBooks

Legendary fiction writer Barry Hannah passed away yesterday in Oxford Mississippi. He was a much-beloved and widely influential Southern writer whose novels and short stories earned him comparisons to Flannery O’Connor. And his work is well-represented in eBook format. Here are a few titles you might check out to remember his legacy.

Airships was probably Hannah’s most famous book, a collection of short stories. You can download it for your Kindle or Sony Reader.

Yonder Stands Your Orphan was something of a comeback novel after a ten year absence, about a thief, pimp and murderer.

High Lonesome is another collection of short stories, and for some reason Kindle is selling it for only $8, so if you want to try out Hannah for cheap, go for this one.

Oddly, there are no Hannah titles available for Nook.
