Quora Competitor Opinionaided Raises $1 Million in Funding for Mobile App

This week investors are offering a hundred million pennies for your thoughts. Opinionaided, a question and answer forum similar to Quora, has announced that General Catalyst, SoftBank Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and a group of angel investors have invested $1 million in seed funding expand the company’s mobile platforms, bringing the total investment to $1.2 million.

Currently, the app is available on the iTunes App Store for for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Unlike Quora, the application is designed to crowdsource questions like what to wear or which product to buy rather than to solicit expert advice from industry professionals.
