Quick.tv Enters Video-Publishing Arena

Quicktv.jpgQuick.tv came out of private beta and launched a video-publishing service with features including asset management, play-out and analytics, along with a tool set to add advertising overlays, voting or form-filling inside the player itself, TechCrunch reported.

Co-founder Nick Bell told TechCrunch he believes publishers will still upload videos to YouTube and other video sites for the viral effect, but they will use Quick.tv for a response mechanism on their own site.

The startup company is backed with £1.2 million in seed funding and based in Newcastle upon Tyne and London in the United Kingdom.
