Pinterest Is Extending Promoted Pins to Ireland, Australia and New Zealand

Launch partners include Aer Lingus, Tesco Ireland, Jo Malone, Avoca, Superdry, Colourtrend, Daintree, The Ark and Lost My Name

Pinterest Promoted Pins are now available to brands in three new countries: Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

U.K. and Ireland country manager Adele Cooper announced the feature’s expansion in a blog post, saying that the social network has more than 150 million users globally, and more than 100 billion ideas have been generated.

Pinterest launched Promoted Pins in January 2015, and last October, the social network introduced three new types of Promoted Pins: one-tap Pins, video Pins and app Pins.

Promoted Pins were extended to Canada last December.

Cooper also shared the following statistics on the three countries gaining access to Promoted Pins:

Ireland:

  • Monthly active users grew by more than 25 percent last year.
  • 200,000 ideas are saved daily.
  • Top categories include fashion, hair and beauty, do-it-yourself projects, home décor and food.

Australia:

  • Monthly active users grew by more than 20 percent last year.
  • 2 million ideas are saved every day.
  • Top categories include DIY projects, food and drink, fashion, art and home décor.

New Zealand:

  • Monthly active users grew by more than 25 percent last year.
  • 400,000 ideas are saved every day.
  • Top categories include DIY projects, home décor, food and drink, fashion and art.
