Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of March 27: Final Four Games Rule Facebook, Twitter

The 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards on CBS topped the TV series and specials list

Saturday night’s Final Four games in the 2016-17 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship tournament edged the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards to top the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of March 27.

The University of North Carolina’s victory over the University of Oregon topped the charts with 3.54 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter, followed by Gonzaga University’s win over the University of South Carolina, with 2.484 million.

Meanwhile, CBS’ presentation of the CMAs spurred 2.273 million interactions across the two social networks, followed by AMC’s The Walking Dead at 1.826 million. David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
