The Buffalo Sabres joined the Vegas Golden Knights in heating up the social ice among National Hockey League teams in November.
Social marketing firm Unmetric reported that the Sabres were tops in the league in Facebook and Instagram growth for the month, as well as Facebook engagement, while the Golden Knights led Twitter growth and engagement on Twitter and Instagram.
Unmetric examined its cross-channel reports for all 31 NHL teams from Nov. 1 through 30, and it also found that:
- The Pittsburgh Penguins wrestled the Instagram audience size crown away from the Chicago Blackhawks, but the Blackhawks maintained their hold on Facebook and Twitter.
