Here's a look at some of the new mobile games that were released this week.

Are you looking for a new mobile game to play this weekend? As usual, there are lots of new options available for you to try, including Nicki Minaj: The Empire from Glu Mobile. The lifestyle simulation game allows users to become hip-hop stars with the help of musician Nicki Minaj.

Elsewhere, Zynga released Dawn of Titans this week. The strategy game allows each user to build a kingdom and create an army that will be led by large Titans.

If you’re looking for something different to play, here’s a look at some of the additional mobile games that were released this week.

Rocky (Free on iOS) – This fighting game from Tapinator was created in conjunction with MGM Interactive to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Rocky film. The game allows users to help Rocky fight against other real players, as well as opponents from the Rocky films, such as Apollo Creed and Clubber Lang. During each match, users can attack the opponent and block the opponent’s attacks by tapping when a moving bar at the bottom of the screen is on top of colorful boxes. As users complete matches, they will earn money that they can use to train their fighters and increase their stats. Users can collect additional fighters for their teams over time.

Dropa (Free on iOS) – This endless puzzle game from Midnight Tea Studio asks users to drag puzzle pieces onto a circular grid, with the goal of creating complete rings that will be removed from the screen. Users can rotate the grid in order to find space for the next puzzle piece to fit. Games end when players run out of possible moves. If users need help while playing, they can spend in-game currency to trade the current puzzle piece for any other piece that they would like. Users can also purchase hints that tell them where they should place the next piece. Players start the game with an allotment of free in-game currency, and they can earn additional currency as they play. In addition to playing regular games, users can also participate in a daily challenge mode that rewards them with twice the currency.

Galaxy on Fire 3 – Manticore (Free on iOS) – This action game from Deep Silver Fishlabs allows users to become bounty hunters in outer space. The game’s story will see users explore the galaxy and complete missions as they attempt to figure out the cause of an event called The Shattering. In each mission, the player’s ship flies automatically, and players can use a virtual joystick to steer. By default, the ship’s weapons will automatically fire at nearby enemies when the player aims at them, but users have the option to turn this setting off and manually fire their weapons instead. As users complete missions, they’ll be able to upgrade their ships to improve their stats.

My Daddy, My Christmas (Free on iOS, Android) – This running game from Pine Entertainment follows a father who is trying to get home to his daughter for Christmas. The game is split into stages, with each stage relating to a part of the father’s trip. In each stage, the father or his vehicle will move across the screen automatically, and players will need to help him avoid obstacles. For instance, in one stage, players made need to tap to help the father jump over obstacles as he runs, while in another stage, users may need to swipe to help the father move between lanes as he rides a bike. My Daddy, My Christmas includes seven stages to complete.

Toca Hair Salon 3 ($2.99 on iOS, Android) – This children’s app from Toca Boca allows users to interact with a variety of characters and style their hair. Users can access tools like a blow dryer, scissors, a razor and more, and if they cut off too much of a character’s hair, they can use a special “tonic” to help the hair regrow. The app also allows users to change each character’s hair color, as well as their clothing and accessories. Finally, characters can grow beards that users can style. Toca Hair Salon 3 does not include time limits or high scores, so users can play for as long as they’d like. In addition, the app does not include third-party advertising.
