LinkedIn Will Sunset Sales Navigator for Gmail March 18

The professional network acquired Rapportive in February 2012 and renamed its browser plugin

LinkedIn is pulling the plug on its Sales Navigator for Gmail feature March 18.

The professional network acquired Rapportive in February 2012 for roughly $15 million and renamed its flagship browser plugin—which connected Gmail accounts with LinkedIn, as well as other social platforms including Facebook and Twitter—Sales Navigator for Gmail.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator product lead Lindsey Edwards cited low usage, saying in an email, “We continuously work with our customers and partners to focus on building and supporting the features that best help them build and maintain relationships with their buyers. As a result of low adoption, we have decided to sunset the Sales Navigator for Gmail feature March 18.”
