LinkedIn: Here's How to Stop Users From Finding You by Your Email Address, Phone Number

Add extra privacy to your account by following our guide

By default, LinkedIn allows users to find other members on its platform by searching for their email address or phone number. If you want to stop users from being able to find your profile that way, follow our guide to turn these options off.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the LinkedIn application on iOS.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Tap “Privacy.”

Step 4: Scroll down and tap either “Manage who can discover your profile from your email address” or “Manage who can discover your profile from your phone number,” depending on which setting you want to change.
