Leaked Sony Email: Zuckerberg Tried To Kill 'The Social Network' Film

It's no secret that Facebook Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was no fan of the 2010 film depicting the first few years of the company, The Social Network. But the leaked emails of Sony executives show that Zuckerberg may have gone as far as to try to have the movie stopped.

It’s no secret that Facebook Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was no fan of the 2010 film depicting the first few years of the company, The Social Network. But the leaked emails of Sony executives show that Zuckerberg may have gone as far as to try to have the movie stopped.

According to Business Insider, Sony Pictures CEO Michael Lynton emailed a Warner Bros. executive on May 30, 2014, mentioning that Zuckerberg tried to stop the film from being made:

I said to Zuckerberg when he tried to stop The Social Network, ‘No one wants their sophomore year in college examined or portrayed.
