iTunes Store Censoring Glitch Hits UK
A temporary error within the UK’s version of the Apple iTunes Store censored some song titles unnecessarily, BBC News reports. One of the affected words was “Hot,” leading Avril Lavigne’s new album “Hot” to be displayed as “H*t.”
An Apple spokesman said a “database glitch” occurred when the service was checked for explicit references, and would be fixed as soon as possible, according to the report.
“Killer” (but not “murder), “Teen” (gotta love Nirvana’s “Smells Like T**n Spirit”), and “Lesbian” (but not “Gay”) were also among the words affected in the song titles.
