It’s National Coffee Break Day

You have a good reason to slack off for a few minutes today (not that Facebook, YouTube videos, and personal calls to your mom aren’t good reasons).

The National Coffee Association is encouraging everyone to celebrate the first-ever National Coffee Break Day. There are events taking place in cities nationwide and online.

Hamilton Public Relations and  its parent agency Bodden Partners worked on the event and the website. A spokesperson for the campaign said the day is meant to encourage people to take a moment for a cup of coffee with a friend or colleague. Back in 1984, a coffee break was also a “calm lull” before you slapped someone. Video above.
