iOS 4.3 Update Coming March 11

Not all of Apple’s news today was for future iPad owners as they announced that iOS 4.3 will be released on March 11, the same day that you can get your hands on one of the new iPads. The iOS 4.3 update will be free and available for current iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches.
The most noticable change in the update for iPad owners is more control over the side switch. When the iPad first shipped you used the switch to lock the screen orientation. After upgrading to iOS 4.2 the side switch became a mute button, and you lock the screen orientation via a button on the dock. Now with iOS 4.3 there will be a setting for you to select how you want the side switch to work, to lock the screen or mute the sound.
All of the AT&T iPhone 4s will gain the Personal Hotspot functionality previously released with the Verizon iPhone 4. iTunes Home Sharing allows you to play music stored in iTunes on a Mac or Windows PC from an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. The Safari web browser has been improved to run Javascript faster, improving the performance of most complex web sites. Finally, Airplay is upgraded to allow streaming of app contents to a TV with Apple TV connected.
