Instagram is expanding the Guides feature it debuted in May.

When Guides first debuted, during the early stages of the pandemic, the focus was on wellness and mental health-related content and enabling users to easily discover recommendations, tips and other content from creators, organizations, public figures and publishers.

Instagram said in a blog post Tuesday, “After seeing the community’s response and requests for increased availability, we’re expanding Guides to everyone and making them easier to create.”

Guides can now be used to find, curate and share places, posts and products from people’s favorite accounts on Instagram.

They are found on creators’ profiles but can be shared via Direct messages and Stories, as well as featured on Instagram Shop, giving creators an entirely new audience that can potentially discover their content.

The Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network said in its blog post, “Creators push culture forward and are a great source of inspiration for the Instagram community—whether you’re looking to shop the latest trends or learn about a new topic or place. We hope that Guides provide another way for you to connect with your favorite accounts and get inspired by what content people are loving on Instagram.”
