Greg Clayman Leaving MTV Networks for News Corp.'s Digital Newspaper

MTV Networks executive vice president of digital distribution and business development Greg Clayman is leaving the cable programmer to run business operations for News Corp.’s as-yet-unnamed iPad-targeted digital newspaper, AllThingsD reported.

The digital venture does not have a launch date yet, according to AllThingsD, but New York Post executive editor Jesse Angelo will oversee editorial, and it is targeted toward the iPad, Google Android phones, and other devices.

AllThingsD obtained the memo sent to MTVN staff by chairman and CEO Judy McGrath and executive VP and chief operating officer Rich Eigendorff:

We want to share the news that Greg Clayman, our executive vice president of digital distribution and business development, has decided to leave MTV Networks for a new venture that will stretch the range of his considerable talent, energy, and imagination.
