Flow for Instagram 2.0 offers portrait viewing, premium upgrade option

Flow for Instagram, the “missing Instagram iPad app” has been updated this week with user requested features, support for multiple accounts and more. Flow for Instagram 2.0 is a third-party application, so while users can’t upload photos to Instagram through the app, they can browse and explore Instagram content on their larger iPad screen.

Via this update, the No. 1 user requested feature is now available: portrait viewing of content. The app will also preload images for faster viewing. The app’s commenting and liking features have also been improved, with a better comment composer and the ability to double tap images in a feed to like them.

The app’s existing feature-set supports searching for usernames, places or hashtags, and also supports video playback.

For users who want even more functionality, Flow Plus+ offers an optional in-app purchase ($2.99) and unlocks support for managing multiple Instagram accounts, gives users an extended home feed, the choice of two themes (light and dark) and the ability to save images to their device’s camera roll.

The base Flow for Instagram experience is available for free on iPad. Check back soon to follow the app on AppData, our tracking platform for mobile and social apps and developers.
