Favorite Authors Missing From Kindle

We just noticed that the new novel, The Changeling, by Nobel Laureate Kenzaburo Oe, published by Grove Press, is available for Kindle. This will be a welcome change for Oe fans, given that none of his other books–of which there are many–are available as eBooks.

There also aren’t any eBooks by many other wonderful and very famous authors. Roberto Bolano and W.G. Sebald come to mind.

Whether this is due to lack of backlist eBook rights or to agents holding out for big money, it’s got to stop. So, eBookNewser readers, let’s send a message to the people at the top! Let’s tell them we demand eBooks from our favorite authors now!

Who are your favorite eBook-less authors? We’d love to know in the comments below.
