Facebook Will Phase Out Its Account Kit in March 2020

Developers used it to enable users to log into their apps with phone numbers or email addresses

Facebook introduced Account Kit at F8 2016 in April of that year as a way for developers to enable users to log into applications with their phone numbers or email addresses and register for those apps without creating passwords, but the social network will begin phasing out the product.

Software engineer Calvin Mak said in a blog post that Account Kit will no longer be available to developers and partners after March 9, 2020.

Mak provided the following timetable for phasing out Account Kit:
