Facebook Marketplace Adds Features for Car Shoppers in the U.S.

Several features are being added in the coming weeks

Facebook’s Marketplace wants to know what it’s going to take to get you in that car.

Vice president of marketplace Deborah Liu announced in a Newsroom post that the social network is adding several features to Marketplace “in the coming weeks” to grease the wheels for car shoppers in the U.S., including:

  • The ability for users to browse auto dealers’ inventory through partnerships with Edmunds, Cars.com, Auction123, CDK Global and Socialdealer.

  • An enhanced vehicles section that enables users to filter listings by year, make, model, mileage, vehicle type and transmission.

  • Kelley Blue Book car values.
  • Direct communication with dealership representatives via Facebook Messenger, powered by chat providers including ActivEngage, CarCode, Contact at Once! and Gubagoo.

Liu said more information about buying and selling cars via Facebook Marketplace is available here.
