Two events that actually take place in February were Hot Topics on Facebook in January, with men discussing Super Bowl LI and women already getting excited for Valentine’s Day, according to Facebook IQ.
CNN was a Hot Topic of discussion among older men on the social network, while the recent transfer of power in the U.S. weighed heavily on the minds of older women, with Melania Trump, Michelle Obama and the Women’s March events showing up on the charts.
Instagram yielded similar results, except that the Super Bowl was discussed more by older males, with younger ones preferring World Wrestling Entertainment’s Royal Rumble and Migos.
