Facebook: Here's How to Share a GIF in a News Feed Post

Add moving pictures to your content

Did you know that Facebook allows you to include GIFs in the posts you share to your News Feed? Our guide will show you how this works.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Facebook application on iOS.

Step 1: At the top of your News Feed, tap “What’s on your mind?” to begin creating a new post.

Step 2: Swipe upward on the post options at the bottom of the screen to expand the menu.

Step 3: Tap “GIF.”

Step 4: Either scroll through the GIFs that are presented to you and choose one to share by tapping on it, or tap “Search GIFs across apps…” at the top of the screen to search for a GIF manually.

Step 5: If you chose to search for a GIF, type your search query.

Step 6: Scroll through the list of search results until you find a GIF you want to share.
