5B and Flat for Twitter
The good news for Twitter: The social-networking service reached tweet No. 5 billion. The bad news for Twitter: Traffic has been flat for the past two months.
CNET reported that former Current Media executive Robin Sloan was responsible for the milestone tweet. Sloan recently left Current to work on novel Mr. Penumbra’s Twenty-Four-Hour Book Store, which he is financing through Kickstarter, according to CNET.
Meanwhile, comScore reported that traffic to Twitter.com was essentially flat for the past two months, hovering below the peak of 21 million U.S.
