Airbnb knows that all our lives have been flipped and turned upside down. So here’s a remedy: Fans of the sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will have a shot at spending one night in Will Smith’s famed white-pillared mansion thanks to Airbnb.

Starting Sept. 29, groups of two lucky Los Angeles County residents will have a chance to book one of five nights to stay in a wing of the house in October. The space will be available on Airbnb for only $30 a night, a nod to the show’s 30th anniversary, which will be commemorated in a reunion special featuring the entire cast exclusively on HBO Max.

“To celebrate the unforgettable memories, valuable life lessons and laughs that have lasted decades, ‘The Fresh Prince’ will turn things upside down—once again—for the town where his reign began. The actor and entrepreneur is adding Airbnb Host to his long resume and opening the doors to his former ‘kingdom’ so fans can create some memories of their own,” Airbnb said in a statement.

Fans not lucky enough to snag a night in the Banks mansion can drown their sorrows in a binge-watch of the series, which is also streaming on HBO Max.

Guests staying in the mansion will be able to lounge by the pool, play foosball next to a giant portrait of Smith or relax in a custom bedroom and closet reminiscent of the former West Philadelphia resident’s style.

While activations have slowed tremendously during the pandemic, marketers have long used Airbnb to bring their brands to life through experiential activations. And it’s not just limited to Airbnb: Booking.com and Hotels.com have also offered similar promotions, such as a night in the Addams Family Mansion and a Lisa Frank-inspired hotel room.

Airbnb didn’t respond to a request for comment as to whether the stunt was completed internally or with another creative agency. DJ Jazzy Jeff, Smith’s right-hand man and musical partner in real life and in the show, will also host an Airbnb Online Experience, teaching guests how to work a turntable.
