Honda released the trailer for its Super Bowl LI spot today, and it features Steve Carell’s talking high school yearbook photo. A vintage Carell encourages people to follow their dreams, with the hashtag #PowerofDreams. He points out that while none of your high school classmates think you’re going to amount to anything, “guess what, you might.”
This year’s spot from Honda’s creative agency of record RPA, which promotes the 2017 CR-V, marks Honda’s third Super Bowl appearance. Last year’s Super Bowl spot featured a herd of sheep singing Queen’s “Somebody to Love” to promote Honda’s Ridgeline truck. Stars like Matthew Broderick and Bruce Willis also have appeared in ads for the CR-V.
