New Balance knows many runners would rather just stay on the couch. That’s why it’s touting its shoes as the “Total Fit” designed to allow exercisers to “love running more and hate the first mile less,” per its new TV campaign.

The effort plays off the love/hate relationship many have with running. TV, print and online ads–via BBDO, New York–target runners 25-34. One print ad, for example, reads, “After you experienced total fit you told everyone running might be the one.
