Lyft's Jabari Hearn Uses Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Lyrics to Announce Move to Westbrook

He's taking on a senior marketing role at Will Smith's media company

After a year and a half as vp of brand for Lyft, Jabari Hearn‘s “life got flipped, turned upside down,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post today.

Using the lyrics to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s iconic theme song, Hearn announced that he has accepted a new role as svp of marketing and entertainment for Westbrook—the media company co-founded by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Noting that “it’s been fun in Silicon Valley,” Hearn wrote on LinkedIn that he’s “so excited” for the new role at Westbrook.

Launched in July 2019, Westbrook is a cross-platform holding company aimed at executing the Smith family’s global content and commerce business strategy.
