Today is the last day at the New York office of Deutsch for chief media officer and partner Peter Gardiner, who has been at the agency since 2000.

Without offering specifics, the agency said he is leaving “to pursue entrepreneurial interests and investments in the media and tech space."

Gardiner joined the Interpublic Group agency from Bozell, New York, where he was evp, director of media services. At the time of Gardiner's hire, Donny Deutsch, then CEO of his namesake shop, said he particularly admired the exec’s media planning strategy on Bozell’s “Got Milk?” campaign.

Deutsch plans to reveal how it will fill the top media role next week.
