Consumer electronics giant Apple announced today that it has named Greg Joswiak as its svp of worldwide marketing, replacing company veteran Phil Schiller.

Though he will remain at Apple, Schiller said in a statement that he is stepping away from the role to spend more time with family and friends and on personal projects.

Joswiak, a leader within its product marketing organization, will lead Apple’s product management and marketing, developer relations, market research, business management, education, enterprise and international marketing efforts, Apple said.
