Amazon’s Build It program, which debuted in February to test the waters of product development with a trio of potential connected devices, is putting a decidedly chic twist on its smart speaker.

This time around, the ecommerce platform is partnering with fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg to potentially produce limited edition designs for its Echo Dot device.

Between the lines

Just like before, three designs are available for preorder through Aug. 13. In the Kickstarter-like Build It program, Amazon will only make the devices that meet preorder thresholds.
