Staffing shortages caused by the pandemic and a constant influx of Covid-19 cases have led to both an increased need for blood donations and a reduced number of people able to give them. Additionally, long-lasting stigma prevents many would-be donors from assisting even in times of crisis.

In honor of World Blood Donor Day on June 14, the LGBTQ+ and women-owned Seattle-based independent creative agency GreenRubino kicked off its guerrilla advertising campaign in support of ending the outdated regulation that prevents many LGBTQ+ people from donating blood.
