Olson Engage Lives Up to Its Word, Engages Its Executive Ranks

Executive spree culminated with the hire of media relations vet Joe Edelson.

It’s always refreshing when a PR agency looks within to enhance its team. HR pros love it. C-suites adore it. And the current team is inspired by it.

So, kudos to Olson Engage (the public relations, social media and experiential marketing arm of ICF Olson) because it did just that.

The internal galvanizing move was set off by the hire of Joe Edelson, known in PR circles as the creative media relations mind at Citizen Relations in New York. Edelson was hired as vice president at Olson Engage, and will join four other account directors currently at the company — Mark Flores, Ali Goldner Troy, Shannon Lovich and Emily McMahon  who have all been promoted to a “vice president group.”

“One of the reasons we’ve retained such a distinctive and creative culture is that we’ve had talented young professionals who have chosen to grow alongside our agency,” Olson Engage President Bryan Specht said. “They’ve benefitted by getting to do amazing things for some of the world’s best brands, and we’ve benefitted from their talent and leadership as they’ve grown from the experience.”

Congratulations to all five of the new veeps who joins a galvanized 11-person vp group.
