Dowie writes in the video description, “Got an iPhone 4S yesterday and got up this morning to go for a surf. No surf, so thought I’d shoot some stuff to see what the new camera is like on the 4S. Got home, looked at the footage, and couldn’t believe it came out of a phone. Was so excited so thought I’d quickly cut a vid to share the goodness.”
Dowie notes that he did give the footage a slight color grade in Final Cut, but that the color straight out of the camera was really good without the adjustment. It should also be noted that Dowie is a professional with tons of video shooting experience and he was working in beautiful surroundings with amazing natural light. The average Joe may not take out his iPhone 4S to take a video of his cat and have it turn out this beautiful.
That being said, this clip is an amazing example of the things that can be done with the iPhone 4S and I can’t wait to see the amazing video content that will be produced with this camera.
