Hitwise: Jersey Shore, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Make Their Moves
The Hitwise analysis of traffic to television Web sites for the week ending July 31 was a virtual rerun of the previous week — not surprising, since it’s still rerun season for the broadcast networks.
ABC and CBS were the top two broadcast-network sites again, and the top three broadcast-network show sites were unchanged — CBS’ Big Brother and Fox’s American Idol and America’s Most Wanted, respectively — with Idol and Wanted flip-flopping positions.
The top two cable-show sites were unchanged from the week ending July 24, as well — Comedy Central’s South Park and ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars — but Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey surged into third place.
In the cable-news category, MSNBC claimed the top two spots with The Rachel Maddow Show and Countdown with Keith Olbermann, while Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck settled into the No.
