Standards Editor Phil Corbett Wants a Tweet-Free New York Times

Tweet, Tweets, Tweeting, and Tweeted are now forbidden at The New York Times, as The Awl obtained a memo to the newspaper’s writers and editors from standards editor Phil Corbett.

Corbett’s memo, from The Awl:

Except for special effect, we try to avoid colloquialisms, neologisms, and jargon.
