Despite Flaws, Amazon eBook Reader Sells Out
CNET News reports that even though the Amazon Kindle is expensive at $399 and has numerous flaws, that didn’t stop consumers from buying out all of Amazon’s initial stock in 5.5 hours, according to the online retailer.
That didn’t prevent some snickering from around the Web, such as on Slashdot.org, with one commenter saying that they may have only had one in stock, and that “it was bought 5.5 hours after launch by [CEO Jeff Bezos] to ensure amazon.com
