YouTube Live Streaming Trial Begins Today, 8:00 AM PT
Starting this morning at 8:00 a.m. PT, YouTube will be broadcasting live in an experimental trial of their new live streaming platform. The new platform allows YouTubers to stream live video directly from their YouTube channels, and the site is testing it out with four of their partners – Howcast, Next New Networks, Young Hollywood and Rocketboom.
YouTube explained how the new live streaming platform works just hours ago on their blog:
“This new platform integrates live streaming directly into YouTube channels; all broadcasters need is a webcam or external USB/FireWire camera.
