A beer snack brand has begun a campaign to poach rival potato snack Walkers (known as Lay’s in the U.S.) long standing ambassador Gary Lineker to switch sides.

The former England, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona striker, now one of the BBC’s top presenters through Match of the Day, Lineker has been the face of Walker’s for nearly three decades. Now, Brew City, owned by frozen potato company McCain, hopes he’ll make the transfer with a very public bid through social media.
