Instagram introduced the ability for users to embed their own public profiles and other users’ public profiles on external websites. When a profile is embedded on an external website, it will show a preview of six of the user’s most recent images.

Our guide will show you how to embed an Instagram profile on desktop.

Note: These screenshots were captured in Google Chrome on Mac. Also note, users have the ability to stop others from being able to embed their profile.

Step 1: Navigate to the Instagram profile you want to embed. If you want to embed your own profile, click the gear icon to the right of the “Edit Profile” button.

If you want to embed another user’s profile, click the three dots on the user’s profile page.

Step 2: Click “Embed.” Note: This menu will have different options depending on whether you’re embedding your own profile or someone else’s. However, “Embed” is an available option in both cases.

Step 3: Click “Copy Embed Code.” This will copy the profile’s embed code to your system’s clipboard.

From there, you can paste the embed code into your desired website.
