Instagram will host its first-ever Creator Week June 8 through 10, bringing virtual professional development programs for aspiring and emerging creators on Facebook and Instagram designed to help them build their careers, support their wellbeing and connect with peers.
Parallel events will be taking place in France and other markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Sessions will include Fund My Merch Line—during which creators will pitch their dream product ideas to a panel of judges, with the winners getting those ideas funded—as well as How to Break Into Entertainment, How to Get Discovered on Instagram, How to Supercharge Your Community, Media Training 101 and others addressing algorithm myth busting and burnout.
The week will also feature product news and surprise special guest appearances.
Instagram said Creator Week is part of its larger push to support creators on its platform, and it follows an Instagram Live conversation last month in which head of Instagram Adam Mosseri and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg discussed new monetization products, including Creator Shops.
