N26 Puts Prominent Women on Currency Via Facebook, Instagram AR Effect

Mobile banking platform N26 debuted an augmented reality effect on Facebook and Instagram Monday to mark International Women’s Day.

The company teamed up with Facebook and London-based influencer and creative developer Ommy Akhe of Autonommy to create the effect using the social network’s Spark AR platform.

N26 said the goal of the effect is to stress the lack of representation for women that exists in the financial services sector, as part of this year’s #ChoosetoChallenge International Women’s Day theme.
