T-Mobile is claiming that one of the ads it had planned to run in Sunday’s Super Bowl has been blocked because of a “protected rights deal” with the game’s official telecom sponsor, Verizon.

The minute-long spot, which was released online today, features a conversation between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in which spotty cellular service makes for a comical misunderstanding between the two stars. A T-Mobile spokesperson said the telco will still run two other ads in this year’s Big Game.
