Twitter users in the U.S. will see prompts Thursday encouraging them to vote early and giving them state-by-state resources to do so through nonpartisan voting advocacy organization BallotReady.
The social network is also encouraging people to share those resources via tweet and help spread the word.
The hashtags #IVoted, #IVotedEarly, #VoteEarly and #YoVoté will trigger interactive features including a digital “I Voted Early” sticker, a custom emoji and an animated like button that turns into a ballot box.
Push alerts from Twitter will also direct people to a public-service announcement featuring more early voting resources.
